Industrial Designers create innovative functional and user-friendly products. In terms of form and style, the products distinguish themselves from run-of-the-mill utensils. 3D-designers occupy a creative space somewhere between the visual artist and the industrial designer. Dutch Design Double - five weeks of Dutch design
Two Dutch cities, more than twenty design-events spread over five weeks. Dutch Design Double celebrates Dutch design from the 4th of September until the 11th of October 2009.
Under the umbrella Dutch Design Double, Amsterdam and Utrecht host throughout the whole month of September and the first week of October, a great variety of internationally orientated design and fashion events. Both cities are joining forces to create a handpicked selection of design, fashion and new media projects.
Dutch Design Double is an initiative of Gemeente Utrecht, Provincie Utrecht and Premsela, Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion. Dutch Design Double is produced by Cultuurfabriek in association with Gemeente Amsterdam and Ministerie van Economische Zaken.
