Since graduating from the Rietveld Academie in 2003, Finnish-born Tanner’s jewellery has been imbued with a narrative character. Her brooches and objects show people in expressive postures.
In her new work, the accent lies more on objects and patterns that will stimulate the imagination. In contrast to the complexity of the language form, the material is sober: silver, aluminium, wood and plastics. The colours are also subdued: a lot of black, white, grey and fair wood tints.

Dutch Design Double - five weeks of Dutch design
Two Dutch cities, more than twenty design-events spread over five weeks. Dutch Design Double celebrates Dutch design from the 4th of September until the 11th of October 2009.
Under the umbrella Dutch Design Double, Amsterdam and Utrecht host throughout the whole month of September and the first week of October, a great variety of internationally orientated design and fashion events. Both cities are joining forces to create a handpicked selection of design, fashion and new media projects.
