REDLIGHT DESIGN AMSTERDAM: DELUX GOES INSIDE
In September 2008, the City of Amsterdam, Ymere and Droog Design launched the Redlight Design Amsterdam project. Six international jewellery designers – Frédéric Braham, Jantje Fleischhut, Gésine Hackenberg, Susanne Klemm, Iris Nieuwenburg and Atelier Ted Noten – swapped their homes and workspaces for houses previously used by prostitutes in De Wallen.

Now, exactly one year on, they are making part of their studios available to a handful of renowned interior designers: Ineke Hans, Norman Trapmann, Richard Hutten, Frank Visser/ijm, Frederik Roijé and Serener.org (Christopher Seyferth). The exhibition is an intriguing crossover between sexy jewellery, estranged interior elements and an eccentric environment.
